DJ Pete is available and has been booked for this event. We are hoping to have donations for the DJ expense. Concessions will be available to purchase that evening. We need a few volunteer families to organize the details of the evening. (Arranging for food
and beverages, selling the concessions and clean-up at the end of the evening) Call the school office to volunteer to help.
Parades – SHS Float
New Munich, June 12 & Freeport, July 18
The theme for the MunichFest parade is “Your Favorite Decade” and Freeport’s theme is “Game Show Gala”. We will need a group of parents to get together and share ideas and decide on what might work for a school float in these 2 parades. Call the school office if you want to be a part of a “Parade Committee”
Tri-Parish Vacation Bible School.
Mark your calendars – The 2010 Vacation Bible School is scheduled for August 2-6 at the Lake Maria Campgrounds near New Munich. Watch the tri-parish bulletin for registration information.
MN Zoo Trip
The 21st Annual Field Trip sponsored by the Freeport State Bank is scheduled for Thursday, May 20. They are taking grades K-6 to the Minnesota Zoo this year. There will be room for 26 parent chaperones. Call the school office if you would be able to go on the trip. As in the past, chaperones are asked to pay $10 which will pay a portion of the admission, transportation and lunch.
Prime & Wine Results The final results are in !
The Prime & Wine was again a very successful fundraiser. The net profit was $31,421.49. With the anticipated COF Matching Fund of $1500.00, the grand total will be $32,921.49. A sincere and special note of thanks and appreciation goes out to Janelle Roerick and Sheri Nienaber for the time and effort they put into carefully planning and organizing all of the details of the event. They also had a wonderful group of people who worked with them, specifically on the Auction portion of the fundraiser. See note from Janelle & Sheri below.
A big “Thank You’ to everyone who helped make the 15th Annual Prime & Wine Dinner/Auction an unforgettable and successful evening. We are truly blessed with how everyone came together and made such a difference at SHS. Thank you to our committee for all the help from the beginning till the day of the Prime & wine. Thank you to the parents and the children for working either the day before or the day of. Thanks to the SHS staff for being wonderful hostesses. It is a fundraiser that needs everyone’s help to make it a success. A special Thank You to the 6th grade parents for all their help and dedication to the Prime and Wine over the years.
